New Student Registration

Welcome to the Huntington Beach Union High School District. Registration materials can be found on your home high school website. Applicable forms for students can be downloaded and filled out before registration in August. Registration dates and information will be posted on your home high school's website.


Most student information is collected from our feeder districts the semester before school starts. This gives our guidance department a head-start getting ready for incoming 9th grade students. This process is not perfect and some data does not get transferred or the information that is transferred do not contain the most recent address or contact information. If that’s the case then in the weeks leading up to the start of school you can contact your home high school to see if your student’s information has been collected and/or is current. If you’re not sure which school your student will be attending you can check that with our home school locator at In most cases we’ll use the information that was provided to us from the feeder school to send you registration information.

Getting ready to start high school or move to a new school can be a scary process but we’re here to help. If you have any questions about the registration process, please contact your home high school. Translators are available but might require an appointment; please call (714) 903-7000 ext. 50461 (Spanish) and ext. 50463 (Vietnamese).


Each school has slightly different forms and documents that parents are required to fill out for registration. To access those forms, please check you home high school website. Additional required registration documents can be downloaded in your corresponding Home Language (English/Spanish/Vietnamese). Please see the links below. Fill out each completely and return to your home high school during registration week.
