New Student Registration

Welcome to the Huntington Beach Union High School District. Registration materials can be found on your home high school website. Applicable forms for students can be downloaded and filled out before registration in August. Registration dates and information will be posted on your home high school's website. To confirm your student's home school, please check our school locator.


Most student information is collected from our feeder districts the semester before school starts. This gives our Guidance Department a head-start in getting ready for incoming 9th grade students. In the case that some of your student's data does not get transferred and/or is incorrect, please contact your home high school in the weeks leading up to the start of school to check if your student's information has been updated and is accurate. Student information provided by the feeder district will be used to send registration information.

Getting ready to start high school or moving to a new school can be an overwhelming process, but we’re here to help. If you have any questions about the registration process, please contact your home high school. Translators are available but might require an appointment; please call (714) 903-7000 ext. 50461 (Spanish) or ext. 50463 (Vietnamese).


Each school has slightly different forms and documents that parents are required to fill out for registration. To access those forms, please check your home high school website. Additional required registration documents can be downloaded in your corresponding home language (English/Spanish/Vietnamese). Please see the links below. Fill out each form completely and return it to your home high school during registration week.
