HBUHSD uses Titan Payment Center for online meal payments.

K-12 payment center functions in a real-time environment with Meals Plus. Please allow approximately 30 minutes for your K-12 payment to sync with Huntington Beach Union High School District. Once synced, you will be able to view your student's account balance and transaction history and funds will be available for your student to use. If you have recently signed up for Titan Payments, you may not be able to see your new postings or old balances from the previous vendor, e-Funds. Please give it a few days for processing.

Please make sure your student or child utilizes the funds in their account as refunds will not be issued.

 

STUDENT LOW MEAL BALANCES

HBUHSD is pleased to announce that parents who set up a prepayment account for meals, can now enable a Low Meal Balance setting for their child's meals. To activate this setting, please go to the option under "Manage Profile" on the parent page to set up alerts. You can also activate recurring payments.

 

HEALTHY CHANGES IN OUR SCHOOL CAFETERIAS

The Huntington Beach Union High School District school cafeterias, under tough federal nutrition standards for school meals, work hard to ensure that meals are healthy and well-balanced and provide students with all the nutrition they need to succeed at school. Now is a great time to encourage your kids to choose school lunch!

School meals offer students milk, fruits, vegetables, proteins, and grains, and they must meet strict limits on saturated fat and portion size. Starting in the school year 2012-2013, school lunches met additional nutritional standards requiring:

• Age-appropriate calorie limits
• Larger servings of vegetables and fruits (students must take at least one serving of produce)
• A wider variety of vegetables, including dark green and red/orange vegetables and legumes
• Fat-free or 1% milk (flavored milk must be fat-free)
• More whole grains
• Less sodium

We're always working to offer our students healthier and tastier choices. We consistently meet the recommended nutrient levels in our meals each year.

School meals are a great value and a huge convenience for busy families too! Breakfast is currently free and includes a breakfast entrée, fruit or juice, or vegetable and milk. For lunch, students can select from a variety of entrées, fruit, juice, vegetables, and milk, which is also currently free to all students. We also offer, as a convenience to parents and students, an online payment system where an account is set up and no cash is needed to purchase a la carte items. This eliminates the morning rush to prepare a lunch or find money to buy lunch that day.
