OPEN ENROLLMENT 2017-18
The Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) Open Enrollment period for the 2017-18 school year begins Friday, January 20, 2017.
During this time, parents of any current or incoming students who wish to attend a HBUHSD school other than his or her home school of residence should fill out an Open Enrollment petition. Parents of students who wish to attend their resident assigned high school do not need to take any further action.
To complete an Open Enrollment petition, parents must register for an Aeries Parent Account and complete the Enrollment Confirmation starting January 20, 2017. The following information will be required to create the parent account:
HBUHSD Student ID Number: Unique six (6) digit ID number assigned by the district
Primary Telephone Number: The family’s primary telephone number
Verification Code (VPC): Unique eight (8) digit access code assigned by the district
Email address: current preferred email addresses
***This information has been mailed home to incoming 9th grade students that includes student ID numbers and verification codes.
District students have the opportunity to choose from a list of distinguished comprehensive high schools including Edison (EHS), Fountain Valley (FVHS), Huntington Beach (HBHS), Marina (MHS), Ocean View (OVHS), and Westminster (WHS).
Throughout the Open Enrollment period, each comprehensive high school will also host 8th Grade Student and Parent Information Night(s) to provide incoming families with information necessary to make knowledgeable and realistic decisions in education planning for high school and postsecondary options.
