Huntington Beach Union High School District

APA production of Titanic

The Academy for the Performing Arts just finished the musical, Titanic, directed by Mr. Tim Nelson. The show ran from October 15-17, 21, and 23-24. Each aspect of the production was created by students: the stage sets, the costumes, the ensemble, and of course, the outstanding singing and dancing.

In addition to carrying their full academic course loads, students in APA choose a desired focus-- a "major," in  musical theater, technical theater, orchestra, music, or dance. Many students also opt to add a minor in any of the arts realms, as well. APA students arrive to school early and stay late, well past normal school hours, to rehearse and perfect their craft.

HBUHSD is extremely proud of our students' capabilities and our Arts Education programs district wide. If you missed out on Titanic and wish to see one of APA's amazing performances, please visit https://www.hbapa.org/see to buy tickets!
