In order to recognize and observe Patriot Day on Sunday, September 11, 2016, Huntington Beach High School will honor veterans, active military personnel, local first responders, lifeguards, and HBHS staff members at the regularly scheduled varsity football game versus Tesoro High School.  As an added celebration, former student (1947-1950) and United Stated Navy / Korean War Veteran, Mr. Richard Allen (Al) Seaberry, will be presented an honorary high school diploma during a special 5-minute graduation ceremony during halftime.  Similar to the school’s graduation ceremony held every June, Mr. Seaberry’s will be rich with tradition including pomp and circumstance, an Oiler-colored cap and gown, cheering loved ones in attendance, a short speech from HBHS Principal, Daniel Morris, and an overall momentous evening.
