Over the weekend, Marina High School’s (MHS) Academic WorldQuest teams, both coached by Earl Ziemann, placed first and second in Orange County.

Mark your calendars! On Tuesday, Mar. 15, the Huntington Beach Union High School District will be screening the feature-length documentary, 'Most Likely to Succeed,' for FREE! The show will begin at 6:30 PM with an opportunity for Q&A Discussion following at 8:00 PM in the HBUHSD Auditorium.

On Friday, March 4, Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) will hold their 50th Anniversary celebration from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. featuring live performances, alumni activities, the burying of a time capsule, and much more!

Congratulations to the Edison High School (EHS) varsity boys basketball team and head coach, Rich Boyce, for advancing to the CIF Southern Section Division 2AA Championship game, this Saturday, March 5. The boys will take on the Ruben S. Ayala High School Bulldogs at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA with tip-off at 8:30 p.m.

On Feb. 23, the Orange County Register released an article highlighting the Marina High School (MHS) robotics club, Team 4276.

On Feb. 17, Huntington Beach High School (HBHS) hosted staff from around the district for Tech Fest, an annual gathering where educators learn about “tech” being used in the classroom.

On Feb. 19, the Orange County Register released its third annual Varsity Arts Artist of the Year award nominees.  Teachers from around the county nominated a total of 391 student artists from 74 high schools in the categories of theater, dance, vocal music, instrumental music, visual arts and film.

Congratulations to Edison High School (EHS) student Gus Weiss, for being selected as a winner of the Emperor Science Award program – an initiative designed to encourage high school students to explore careers in science, specifically cancer research and care, through mentoring opportunities.
