Fourteen HBUHSD students recognized in Cappies nominations

Through this program, high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at nearby schools, and write reviews to be published in local newspapers.  After a long year of work, student critics vote for awards in 35 categories, along with four “Commendees” per participating school.  Once the votes are calculated, awards are presented at a formal Cappies Gala. 

For the 2015-2016 school year, the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) had a total of six Cappies nominees and eight Commendees from Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) and the Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts (APA).  Here they are:
