The Rookie of the Year Award is given to a new district teacher who shows promise, dedication and goes the extra mile for their students. Mr. Lee is a beloved science teacher for Fountain Valley High School.

District Superintendent, Dr. Greg Plutko, Fountain Valley HS Principal, Dr. Morgan Smith, along with his team and other HBUHSD personnel surprised Jake with balloons and donuts for his class during first period. All students and fellow staff members had nothing but nice things to say about Mr. Lee.

He will also be recognized by the Superintendent, Board of Trustees, and many others at the next Board meeting on October 20, 2015.
