Board of Trustees Adopts 2015-16 Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

In June 2013, the Legislature adopted a new funding system for schools in California known as the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). The purpose of the new funding formula was to give school districts more local control over how funds are spent. As part of LCFF, the Legislature included an accountability component known as the Local Control Accountability Plan, or LCAP. As part of the Legislature process, each school district is required to hold at least one public hearing to solicit the recommendations and comments of the members of the public regarding the specific actions and expenditures proposed to be included in the LCAP.
