Westminster High School Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Westminster High School (WHS) celebrated their five female athletes yesterday who have signed their National Letters of Intent, committing to furthering their academics and competing at the collegiate level. Families, friends, teammates, and other WHS athletes packed the gym to honor their student-athletes for their accomplishments. Principal Amy Sabol opened up the ceremony with pride, commending the athletes for their passion, dedication, and hard work in the classroom and their sports, while also thanking the families for their support over the last four years. Athletic Director Mike Schultz and the coaches spoke before giving the athletes the floor to say a few words about their futures. The five student-athletes who have committed to playing collegiate athletics are: Alexis Baldenegro - Vanguard University - STUNT Isabel Martinez - Vanguard University - STUNT Isabelle “ChaCha” Miranda - Vanguard University - Softball Nyra Portillo - Vanguard University - STUNT Kiana Salcedo - Life Pacific University - Women’s Basketball “Witnessing the emotions of these student-athletes and their families on this day is priceless,” shared WHS Athletic Director Mike Schultz. “We know how important this is to them, and we know they will represent themselves and our school with pride.” The Huntington Beach Union High School District is so proud of what these student-athletes have accomplished over the last four years at WHS.
