Fountain Valley High School Announces Rachel Kloppenburg as new Assistant Principal

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) announces Rachel Kloppenburg as their new Assistant Principal of Guidance. She returns to her alma mater, where she graduated as a Baron in 2009, with years of professional education experience.

Kloppenburg graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2012, where she earned degrees in both Math and English. In 2013, she returned to her roots to coach Water Polo at FVHS for two years while obtaining her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Vanguard University. Following her graduate studies, Kloppenburg worked at the Newport-Mesa Unified School District where she taught math for seven years, was the Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) in Education Technology for two years, and served as an admin intern this past school year.

Rachel shared her enthusiasm about her return to FVHS, “I know firsthand the high quality of students and staff at Fountain Valley High School. I could not be more excited to have the honor of returning as an administrator.”

“We are super excited to have Rachel join our Fountain Valley team!” exclaimed FVHS Principal Paul Lopez. “I believe the skill set Rachel brings will keep FVHS on an upward trajectory for continuous improvement. Being a Baron alumni, she understands the culture and all of the details that make FVHS unique. We look forward to Rachel's contribution to our Baron family!”

HBUHSD is extremely excited to have Rachel join the FVHS family. With her past experience and familiarity with FVHS, we know she will do great things and bring a sense of Baron pride to campus each and every day.
