After having served as an educator for over 15 years, Dr. Harding enters this position with an in-depth knowledge of post-secondary education practices and high school campus operations.
Since 2013, Dr. Harding has proudly served the district as an Assistant Principal of Huntington Beach High School (HBHS). In 2014, she was placed in the lead role of the school’s Guidance Department which oversees guidance specialists, school psychologists, school counselors, registrar, community resource coordinator, school nurse, ROP specialist, and the college and career specialist. During her time at Huntington Beach High School, Dr. Harding also counseled students and families, supported teachers, generated the master schedule, implemented early intervention credit recovery, and much more. Prior to her time as an Oiler, Dr. Harding served the Santa Ana Unified School District for 12 years as both an assistant principal and a high school teacher in multiple subjects.
Similar to her career, her personal educational background is also very far-reaching. After earning her bachelors in Women’s Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), Dr. Harding went on to also receive her masters in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University and her doctorate in Psychology from California Southern University (CSU).
Dr. Harding is a local Huntington Beach resident who enjoys supporting teachers, students, and parents in meaningful approaches to education.
